Headlands School Association
Who we are
The Headlands School Association (HSA) is the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and is made up of parents, grandparents, carers and staff. Our aim is to assist the school through fundraising whilst at the same time providing opportunities for all involved to have lots of fun.
What we do
We meet regularly, approximately once a term, to discuss forthcoming events and ways in which we can raise new funds for the school. Our aim is to raise around £3000 - £4000 per year by providing extra-curricular events such as the extremely popular discos, family film & bingo nights, pamper evening, sponsored bounce, the annual summer fete and Christmas Fayres where Father Christmas always finds time to visit the children.
The funds raised so far have equipped the school with many resources including:
- Playground equipment including a trim trail and classroom games
- Jacket potato oven & salad bar
- Library & Curriculum Resources
- Little cooker, microwave and cooking equipment for classes
- Sound and PA system for the stage/main hall
- Die Cutter
- Bikes, trikes & ride on cars and classroom resources
- And much more!
What you can do
As parents/carers you are automatically members of the HSA (together with all of the staff) and all support is welcome.
If you think you can help the HSA, wish to become more involved with your child’s school or just want to know more about us then please do not hesitate to contact us. You do not have to become a member of the committee to help out at any of the events – just ask.
For details of committee members or to enquire about events and helping out then please contact the school office.
We welcome new faces, ideas and diversity and need your support in order to survive – please help us to continue to make a difference.
